Dynamics
& Decoration: moving like a Tango dancer for leaders and
followers
4 Tuesdays beginning Nov 8, 8:15-9:30pm
We will utilized 4 different orchestras to explore the expressive
potential of the music in this work. This class works with
the dynamics of movement and stillness, building contrasting
qualities of motion into the dance. Subtle and explicit features
of the changes of weight, and relationship to the floor will
be emphasized. By the second class we will learn the natural
and elegant qualities in led elements like Boleos and Sacadas.
Later we will practice adornments to achieve improved balance
and as an expression of individuality and musicality. We will
work on the fluid embrace and the differences between working
in close embrace and open for common elements.
This class focuses on the quality of movement that defines
a tango dancer. It will change your dancing forever.
This class is for continuing level students, Advanced beginner/Intermediate
level or several months of tango experience required.
PLEASE NOTE: Pregistration strongly encouraged to secure
this class! Class will be cancelled without 8 pre-registrants.

288 Norfolk, Cambridge, MA
Located a few blocks from Central Square, 288 Norfolk Street at
Hampshire in Cambridge, near Central Square T, some parking available
in back lot, and on the street Directions to XTreme DanceSport:
is in a low, red-brick corner building set a bit back from the street
at the intersection of Norfolk and Hampshire. There is a large white
sign for a fitness studio at the front of the building and the side
entrance on the left is the entrance to the studio- marked 288 Norfolk.
If you are driving from Prospect and Mass Ave., head toward Cambridge
St. Hampshire St. is 1 Block before. Turn right ton Hampshire. Go
only 2 short blocks and turn left before the above described red
brick bldg (on your left side). Go straight on Norfolk St, 1/2 block
to dead-end and before recycling center, park in small lot on the
right. Walk back to the corner, into the side entrance and up to
the third floor.
